Around 7 miles from Malham and its breathtaking limestone cove and scar is this picturesque village perched on the Aire River. The community has a few places to eat, including a great Indian restaurant, as well as a few bars, cafes, and stores. Gargrave is a great place to stay if you want to explore the surrounding area of Yorkshire, as it is crossed by the Pennine Way, the Pennine Bikeway, and the Leeds-Liverpool Canal. Skipton, "The Gateway to the Dales," is only four miles away, and it is an ancient market town with a historic castle and a famed main street. This area, just on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, is fantastic for outdoor pursuits including hiking, biking, and sightseeing.

We love this lodge. It is presented to a very high standard in terms of cleanliness and comfort. We appreciated phone help when we had some âpilot errorâ with the tv. A quiet and pleasant setting with easy parking. We hope to return.
