Crayke with its award winning pub, Stillington with two pubs and a local shop, and the bustling market town of Easingwold are all close by. Family friendly attractions include miniature and full size steam railways, Flamingo Land, and superb eateries. Pretty villages, lively market towns and great walking opportunities are all within easy reach, and the surrounding area has a rich history and offers Castle Howard, Byland Abbey and Helmsley Castle.
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.
