Snaptrip says

King's Cottage in Bedale is frequently praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and the delightful hot tub. Guests appreciate the thoughtful welcome packs, though these are a charming bonus rather than a guarantee. While some minor issues with maintenance and parking are noted, the overall experience is one of a cosy, well-equipped retreat in a beautiful location, ideal for exploring the Yorkshire Dales.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests report the cottage as spotless and very clean, with only a few mentions of cobwebs and a blocked bath drain. The high level of cleanliness contributes positively to the overall experience.

The cottage is appreciated for its beautiful setting and proximity to local attractions. However, some guests mention traffic noise and parking difficulties, which slightly detract from the location's appeal.

Guests find the cottage cosy and the beds comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen adding to the comfort. A few comments about a broken bed and draughty doors suggest room for improvement.

Facilities like the hot tub are highly praised, but the absence of a washing machine and issues with parking, hot tub temperature, and Wi-Fi connectivity lead to a slightly lower score.

Many guests are delighted by the welcome packs and the provision of items like summer quilts upon request. However, as these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, they are a considerate touch rather than a standard offering.

Thanks for the welcome pack- always thoughtful items. Loved the hot tub as always. Lovely afternoon in Richmond and a brisk walk.

It is set in a lovely little garden. The hot tub was very clean and private. The cottage was comfortable and quite clean. Just a few fresh cobwebs missed, but nothing upsetting. It would have been nice to have been left one toilet roll. I would trade the onion rings for 1 next time. There was a little hamper left which was appreciated. We would return.

Lovely cottage really enjoyed our stay like home from home everything you need in the kitchen an through out the rest of the cottage ,hot tub definitely got some use in the nice kept garden ,think the property could do with a new back door its rotten at the bottom with a wobbly outside door handle also there was a few cobwebs through out the place but this didn't spoil our stay ,will definitely use this place again
