Nice welcome from the owner Melanie and a generous welcome hamper. A nice friendly village with an excellent eating pub. A good location for exploring North Yorkshire and the Dales. The riverside walk from Easby Abbey to Richmond station is highly recommended with or without a dog.

The property is very spacious with excellent facilities and every amenity you could need. Mel is the perfect host, welcoming and helpful but not at all intrusive. Lovely quiet village to base yourself to see all that North Yorkshire has to offer. Friendly village pub with food within a 3 minute walk. Our Jack Russell, Oscar, was made very welcome by Mel and her dogs and he loved his stay at The Byre. One of the most relaxing holiday cottages we have stayed at. Highly recommended.
