Cowstonegill is a well-loved cottage praised for its comfort, well-equipped kitchen, and beautiful, peaceful location in the Yorkshire Dales. Guests appreciate the warm underfloor heating, cosy atmosphere, and the extensive private grounds. The lack of phone signal and WiFi is seen as a plus for a true escape, although some guests note it as a caution. The thoughtful touches like welcome gifts are warmly received, enhancing the homely feel of the property.
The cottage is consistently described as clean and well-maintained. Guests have commented on the spotless condition, suggesting a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property.
The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, stunning views, and wildlife, with many guests appreciating the remote and peaceful setting. The proximity to walking trails and the local village adds to its charm. However, the access road's condition and the property's seclusion may not suit everyone.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of cosy living spaces, warm underfloor heating, and comfortable beds. The overall atmosphere is described as homely and inviting.
The property is well-equipped, with a particularly well-stocked kitchen, and guests appreciate the additional facilities like the games area. Some suggestions for improvement include an outside tap for cleaning and larger duvets. The lack of WiFi and phone signal is noted, but often seen as a positive feature.
The owners' thoughtfulness is evident in the welcome gifts and the provision of a well-equipped cottage. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it is important to note that such gifts are a kind bonus and may not be a consistent offering for every stay.
