The house was pristine. Bedrooms were great although the info on the website was a bit confusing as to which floor they were on! It was lovely and warm even though we were careful with the heating. We could have done with another dozen mugs as we spent the whole time washing them - & we were pleased we’d all brought extra t towels. Great welcome pack including a bottle of Prosecco! However the tv in the lounge wouldn’t play BBC1 & other chanels- disappointing for Strictly! One lady said the bath towel was more hand towel sized - & she’s not big! One rooms loo seat was only screwed in on one side - bit disconcerting. The alarm kept on going off with a fault - somewhat annoying. Didn’t use the hot tub as the outside area wasn’t very inviting. Another floor light in the lounge behind the tv would have been good. Loved the flowers and lights on the dining tables. Overall we had a lovely few days and would definitely use it again if needed.

The house is immaculate. It is huge but was lovely and warm throughout. the Hot Tub went down a treat. Lovely area and just a few mins walk to the Funicular and the Italian Gardens. Very Happy. Thanks.

18 adults and children from our family stayed and had a lively time. There were some issues such as TV's not working (we wanted to watch some of the Olympic action occasionally), but we put this down to previous renters not telling Sykes' representatives. Found some dirty crockery on the shelves which was quite disappointing. Some - not all - found beds to be uncomfortable. For some reason a number of light bulbs kept blowing. These were all fairly minor problems but our biggest issues were with disposing of rubbish. 3 of the outside bins were full of rubbish on our arrival, one was emptied on the 6th day of our 7 day stay and 2 were not emptied at all. Obviously 18 people in one house does generate a lot of rubbish and the fact we couldn't easily dispose of it was really annoying. We informed Natalie, the Sykes rep, soon after problems were discovered and in fairness to her she was very much on the ball in getting them fixed and even with the bins I know she tried her best to get contractors to empty them but was let down by them. Please don't be put off by my negative comments as overall we very much enjoyed staying at Lonsdale Villa and of course the larger the property the ratio of minor faults will increase incrementally.
