Guests say

The Great Eskcape in Whitby is highly praised for its stunning river views, convenient location, and cleanliness. Guests appreciate the modern amenities, the ease of parking, and the property's proximity to local attractions. While some guests mention minor maintenance issues and a firm mattress, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many looking forward to returning.

Guests consistently describe the apartment as clean and well-kept, with several reviews highlighting its spotless condition upon arrival. There is, however, a single mention of a dirty cooker and greasy hood frame, which slightly impacts the score.

The location is frequently lauded for its fantastic views, proximity to the town centre, and the added benefit of a private parking space. The scenic and peaceful setting near the river is a recurring theme in guest feedback.

While many guests find the apartment comfortable and cosy, there are a few comments about a hard mattress causing discomfort. This suggests that while the overall comfort is satisfactory, there is room for improvement in this area.

The apartment is generally well-equipped and modern, but some guests have reported issues with TV signal interference, a leaking kettle, and difficulties with key collection. Maintenance concerns such as loose handles and missing handles have also been noted.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the host. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Twelve months and a bit since our first visit we were back and again it did not disappoint. Location is quiet and relaxing with plenty to see from the great vistas. Very handy with the town centre only being a short walk away

The flat seems in a popular location with several other holiday flats nearby. The views are nice of the estuary and we enjoyed seeing the steam trains at the other side of the estuary. The flat is comfortable and in a nice quiet location, but it is quite a walk to Whitby centre and we wouldn't have wanted to do it late at night. One thing to note, in the description of the flat it states there is a lift - we did not see one! Apologies if we missed it but I just thought I'd mention it in case future guests arrived who had difficult with stairs, especially with luggage.
