The seaside village of Staithes, once one of the largest fishing ports in the North East, is beautifully decorated with cobbled streets and traditional cottages dating back to the 18th century. The village houses a small selection of shops, pubs and eateries, as well as a sandy beach and an old harbour, surrounded by high craggy cliffs. The incredible attraction of Captain Cook & Staithes Heritage Centre displays the collections maritime adventurer, Captain Cook, who famously made his first contact with the sea in Staithes.

Just one thing, we are not used to a smart tv and there was no tv instruction guide. We had a blackout, not anything to do with the property and would recommend people take a torch, luckily we had one.
