Ideal for a family of four or a group of friends seeking an action-packed holiday, Cadliam is the perfect pick for a seaside break near to Whitby's many attractions, while being within reach of the beautiful North York Moors National Park too. Step inside the ample-sized open-plan living space and admire the contemporary style with all you need for a self-catered stay. Relax in the sitting area at the end of the day, enjoy meals together at the dining table when you're not indulging in the delicious restaurants of Whitby, and make use of the well-equipped kitchen space, complete with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. Let in the light by opening up the patio doors, or step outside and soak up the sunshine, with two folding chairs to sit out on. Choose from either the king-size bedroom or the twin bedroom, both well-presented and offering delightful sleeping spots, served by the family bathroom with a bath and shower overhead. A leisurely stroll can bring you to a nearby pub, The First in Last Out, as well as several local shops, and before you know it you're in the heart of Whitby. Head down to the quaint harbour to watch the boats before heading to the beautiful beach for a day of sandcastles, swimming and seaside treats. Explore the quirky, narrow streets and cobbled market place, climb the 199 Steps up to the eerie Whitby Abbey, known for being inspiration for Bram Stoker's 'Dracula', learn about the ruins at the visitor centre and take in the stunning views across the town and the coastline from this elevated position. There are of course an abundance of restaurants, tea rooms, pubs and cocktail bars to entice you, not forgetting the classic fish and chip shops too! The long sandy beaches are a true hit, brightened up by the vibrant colourful beach huts and deck chairs, with classic donkey rides, arcades and amusements and the Whalebone Arch to get a holiday snap, there's so much to see! The surrounding area has many attractions to offer, delight in a nostalgic steam train ride from Grosmont to Pickering, visit Robin Hood's Bay, embark on a riverside walk along the Esk, and venture into the North York Moors National Park for a wealth of walking, cycling and of course breath-taking scenery. Walking distance of Whitby and amenities. The allocated parking space is an absolute must in Whitby and saved us stressing about finding somewhere to park. It was like home from home, we have already booked for next year.
