This unique holiday home is in the quaint village of Fylingthorpe in North Yorkshire. The spacious property sleeps six guests and suits both families and groups of friends looking to explore the stunning Yorkshire coastline and North York Moors National Park. The charming fishing village of Robin Hood’s Bay is just 1 mile away, and you’ll also be within easy reach of the seaside resorts of Whitby (5 miles) and Scarborough (16 miles).
The Grade II-listed former school house is full of period charm, including mullion windows and ornamental fireplaces. The elegant decor perfectly complements the property, with rich fabrics, antique-style furniture, and a myriad of carefully chosen accessories. The country-style kitchen is a joy to cook in, boasting far-reaching rural views and all the equipment needed to create delicious dishes for the group. Enjoy informal gatherings around the breakfast table, or head through to the grand dining room for family mealtimes in the glow of the wood burner. After dinner, unwind in the colourful lounge, where another wood burner awaits along with an array of comfortable seating and a Smart TV. The three beautiful bedrooms are upstairs, as well as a shower room and a family bathroom. Outside, discover a small courtyard with seating and a handy utility room with an outdoor shower.
Robin Hood’s Bay is a picturesque fishing village with winding, cobbled streets and quaint fishermen’s cottages. The village also boasts a fabulous, sandy beach that’s great for rock pooling and fossil hunting. You’ll find a good range of cafes, pubs, and restaurants in the village, as well as several independent shops. Robin Hood’s Bay is the start/end point of the long-distance Coast to Coast Path and is also on the Cleveland Way National Trail.
