Sunset View in Whitby is highly praised for its cleanliness, stunning views, and comfortable furnishings. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, secure parking, and thoughtful touches like welcome gifts. While some mention tight parking and a challenging walk back from the harbour, the positives such as the balcony and location near attractions overwhelmingly shine through.
The apartment is consistently described as spotless and very clean, with only one review not mentioning cleanliness, which does not detract from the overall high standard reported.
The location is praised for its proximity to Whitby harbour and attractions, with fabulous views. The incline on the walk back and parking difficulties are noted, but these are minor compared to the overall convenience and appeal of the location.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the apartment warm, with a cosy atmosphere. There are minor comments about mattress toppings being too warm, but overall, the comfort level is rated very highly.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the secure parking and well-equipped kitchen. However, some guests experienced issues with parking space size, water pressure, and operating blinds. Maintenance support is noted to be excellent.
Thoughtful touches like welcome gifts and binoculars are mentioned and appreciated. It is politely noted that such gifts, while delightful, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The views are amazing, the decor is great and it is well maintained. There is plenty of crockery and cooking essentials. The lift is a bonus. Canât fault anything about our stay. Hoping to stay again soon.

Views better than expected. Easy walk into town. Well equipped kitchen large fridge/freezer very useful. I did leave a note advising of a couple of things not working (probably a blown fuse) Would happily stay here again.

The apartment has everything you might expect, it's a real home from home with most creature comforts to hand and is very well equipped. Being on the top floor of The Union Mill building it has great views across the Whitby rooftops to the Abbey and the sea beyond. We didn't get to use the balcony as the weather was quite cool and blustery during our stay, though we could imagine sitting out there on a warm summers evening. Two real benefits of Sunset View are having a lift to whisk you up to the apartment after a good day exploring Whitby and having an allocated parking space on site. Overall a big thumbs up!
