About this property

This lovely, semi-detached stone barn conversion has an open plan living area with a modern, well-equipped kitchen, dining area and sitting area. It has a homely feel throughout, and is traditionally furnished; leaving exposed stone walls and a beamed ceiling. Both pretty bedrooms are spacious, and the contemporary first floor shower room offers a large shower. A wonderful North Yorkshire holiday base near Whitby.

The village of Aislaby is located in the beautiful rolling countryside of the Esk Valley, overlooking Sleights and just three miles from Whitby. A small rural village, quiet and secluded, Aislaby is a thriving community of pretty sandstone cottages clustered around a main street and a thriving community served by the old church and Forge Inn. A wonderful base for exploring the North York Moors and Coast.

    The cottage overall was very nice the parking was not ideal, although it is dog friendly it was not ideal for us as it is on a very busy main road with no footpath, the owner was very helpful and welcoming

    There are a few restaurants that in within 5 to 15 minutes drive away, that have a good choice of food and all dog friendly.

    Helen was very friendly and helpful. The welcome pack was excellent, even including a bottle of wine. All you needed for a comfortable stay was provided with lots of towels hand wash and even tea & coffee. Helen helped with the parking as the main road outside of the property is very busy. We love the area and there is lots to see and do in the vicinity. We would certainly return for future stays. There are even lizards in the garden!
