Beautifully finished to a high standard, this York cottage has panoramic views over open countryside thanks to the strategically placed French doors and feature windows. Oak flooring downstairs and underfloor heating in the kitchen ensure a warm, comfortable welcome in this attractive, traditional York cottage. Fixtures and furnishings are to a high standard throughout this York cottage. Set in a rural location, this cottage near York is well placed to visit the delightful market towns of Beverley, Driffield and Malton, and yet it is only a few miles from the park and ride facility in York where you can visit the Minster, National Railway Museum and the Jorvik Viking Centre all in one day. The coast and North York Moors are a short drive away from this York cottage, making it an ideal base for families, walkers or groups of friends to explore the region.
The city of York is a wonderful town, with a huge array of activities. Once known as Jorvik, this vibrant town was a major Viking centre of commerce and boasts a huge selection of architecture from a variety of historical periods. From the city walls to the charming shopping street known as The Shambles, York has something for everybody. There are various cruises available down the river Ouse and visitors can enjoy the National Railway Museum, the Castle Museum and Betty's Tea Rooms â home of Yorkshire Tea and an incredibly unique mirror from the Second World War on which service men visiting the café could write their names with a diamond-tipped âpen'. Further afield are the Yorkshire Dales and Moors as well as the coastal resorts of Scarborough, Whitby and Filey, making this an incredibly diverse destination.

It was very comfortable and well equipped and in a good location for York and Bridlington . The Model Village is worth a visit, and the Land Train was great. Would return. Kath ( Walker)
