Providence Cottage receives high praise for its welcoming hosts, cleanliness, and well-equipped facilities. The peaceful, rural setting near York is appreciated, as is the large garden and proximity to local attractions. Guests enjoy the thoughtful welcome basket and the presence of friendly animals, adding to the charm of the stay.
Reviews consistently mention the property being very clean, with only a minor note about cobwebs. The high standard of cleanliness contributes positively to guests' experiences.
The cottage's location is praised for its beautiful rural setting and tranquility, with easy access to York and other attractions. Some difficulty finding the property in the dark is noted.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of underfloor heating and spaciousness. There is a suggestion for more suitable sofas for older guests, but overall comfort is highly rated.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the kitchen equipment. However, there are comments about the need for more crockery and cutlery, and a non-functioning dishwasher. The absence of a games room, contrary to some information, is also noted.
