This fabulous home sits in the seaside town of Castlerock, overlooking the beach with views of the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoying an elevated position to take advantage of the view, 6 Strandview Cottages provides a splendid escape for a group of eight friends or family members. The main entrance takes you into a small hallway that leads to the ground-floor bedrooms, including a king-size with en-suite shower room and a double, each well-presented. Make your way into the open-plan living space, uplifted by natural light and views of the Atlantic Ocean, here you can spend your down time beside the woodburner whilst you catch up on your favourite shows or congregate round the dining table as the designated chef prepares a home-cooked feast, using this time to discuss what’s left on the holiday agenda. There is a viewing area with long windows and French doors open to the front of the house. Head up to the first floor and find two twin rooms, one complete with a cot for those with babies. Start your morning routine in the bathroom, enjoying a soak before heading out to the private, sun-trap patio, accessed via a few steps in the garden, where you can ponder on the day's agenda whilst basking in the sunshine and listening to the sea waves. Make the most of your proximity to the coast and travel just over half a mile to the glorious sands of Castlerock Beach, a stunning setting to enjoy paddling the shores or simply soaking up the sunshine with a good novel; wetsuits and surf boards can be hired in the village if you're a watersports fan. National Trust Mussenden Temple is also within walking distance, teeming with heritage and beauty, where you can also enjoy coastal vistas. When you fancy a night away from cooking, within a short walk there is several restaurants and pubs, along with a convenience store if you need any essentials. Those keen golfers can tee off at the Castlerock Golf Club before sampling a light lunch with a superb view at The Surf Shack. The seaside towns of Portstewart and Portrush are just a short drive from 6 Strandview Cottages and provide plenty of character and charm. Board the train from Castlerock station and go east to Coleraine and Belfast, or west to Derry/Londonderry, all the while taking in the breath-taking coastal scenery. Book 6 Strandview Cottages and uncover this scenic region of Northern Ireland.
Possibly one of the most picturesque places in the whole of Ireland is a lovely seashore village in County Derry. The Mussenden Temple, which appears in Game of Thrones, and the fact that Castlerock served as the setting for several of C.S. Lewis' novels, including the well-known The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, are just a few of Castlerock's many claims to fame. Castlerock has a lot to offer in terms of services and activities, in addition to some of Northern Ireland's most popular locations for photographs. For all seasons and demographics, there is a magnificent sandy beach, Castlerock Golf Course, Finvoy Fun Farm, and Hill Farm Riding Centre. In addition to the unesco World Heritage Site, the Royal Portrush Golf Club is nearby. A quick trip to the west will take you to Giant's Causeway. It takes only one hour to go to Belfast. There are two coffee shops, a home bakery, a small grocery, a butcher, a chemist, and a beauty parlour in the village. With so much to see and do, the well-known town of Coleraine is close by and well worth the trip. If you're looking for a more action-packed getaway, Portstewart and Portrush are also conveniently close by. A mere 30 miles distant and one of the nation's most intriguing locations is the county city of Londonderry.

Lots of space in the living room / kitchen / dining area. Owner and housekeeper were brilliant, welcoming and helpful. Our two sons (12 and 9) had a great time nearby on the beach, surfing (Surf Shack) and even walking alpacas (North Coast Alpacas). We would definitely recommend both Castlerock and this property.

Highly recommended.
