Dolphin Cottage is lovely, well placed, immaculately clean.

Everything you need is there for you to enjoy your stay. We didnt find we were missing anything we needed. The owners had left things we didnt expect to find, especially with the toiletries. They left us milk and tea and coffee facilities for our arrival, also a starter pack for the log fire. We arrived to a power cut and they were able to advise us on when the power might be restored. They left a folder of hints and tips and all the manuals needed for the appliances. They deserve to be popular with guests. Lovely cottage and fab hosts. It took us 9 hours to get to Banff but we would happily book again. The cottage is dog friendly and they provide throws for the furniture. We will recommend them to anyone we know who might want to travel to that area. One tip if you are hoping to see the northern lights, ask the locals for advice on your first night. We found out that the lights had appeared on at least 3 nights of our stay but despite looking out of the windows we didnt see them, maybe we should have looked out of the back door not the front as we saw more stars in the sky at the back. All in all a lovely week in Banff and the surrounding area with a lovely cottage to go home to each evening

A beautiful home with every home comfort.

A lovely village with shops if you needed anything urgently. We ate in the wee pub along the road - very nice, really friendly place. Really great for accessing other local villages and lovely walks right from the doorstep. Loved all the seaside touches throughout the property. We were friends travelling separately and meeting up so parking was an issue in the very narrow street outside but we just used the car park down by the shore and walked up after we'd off loaded our bags. We didn't watch any TV but I think if you wanted to you'd have to log in to your own digital channels - we couldn't find anything you could watch. Maybe it was operator error!!?? A couple of dishwasher tablets would have been good, just to make life easier. We had already asked about robes for the hot tub so we took our own - might be worth mentioning they aren't included as it's a very short walk up the path to reach the hot tub area. Would love to go back.

      Enjoyed my stay.

Cottage cosy after being out all day. Loved watching the waves and sunsetting. I have marked this down as the sofa and one of the chairs are awful to sit on and need replacing. Something has happened to one half of the sofa and it is completely done and uneven to sit on. I almost caused myself an injury sitting on middle of sofa and ended up on very hard section. Hard to describe but all you feel is hard, almost broken sections when trying to get comfy. Also rug at fire is a hazard and we removed it for our stay as one end completely curled up and an accident waiting to happen. May I also point out that why assume if booking for 3 people that the double bed and single will be sufficient. I booked this as there were 3 beds and luckily i had some bedding with me otherwise I would have had to buy some. Like I said enjoyed my stay but have marked down comfort and facilities for the points mentioned.

We had a fantastic holiday here.

The house is newly renovated and is in stunning condition, with high quality furniture. Everything you could need has been provided in the kitchen. Beautiful cosy bedrooms. The hot tub was in a private location and perfect to sit in and watch the sun go down over the rooftops. The owners are a lovely couple who made sure we had an excellent stay. My family loved our time here and are already thinking of returning for another holiday. Its in a great location a minutes walk from the village restaurant/pub. 20 seconds to the wee shop, a couple minutes lovely walk to the harbour or beach. Gardenstown itself is a great place to stay. So many little lanes to walk about. The harbour and path along to the beach is wonderful for a walk. The beach is lovely and clean. Exceptionally clean clear water to swim in. Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved staying at 49 Crovie.

As soon as we got there we saw dolphins in the bay which made our holiday. The cottage is beautiful and the village is simply enchanting (reminds me of a place I would see in Harry Potter). We booked 49 Crovie for a relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle of city life and it did not disappoint. We sat outside watching the ocean and wildlife and when it got too dark and chilly we went inside to sit by the log burner. It was everything we asked for. We visited the little shop and Ellies bakery in Gardenstown, the best cheese scones I have ever tasted...well worth the visit. We had such a wonderfully peaceful time that I can truly say I would rather stay in Crovie than go anywhere else. We are already looking at dates to book again. Thank you 49 Crovie was everything we wanted and needed xxx
