Guests are charmed by the spacious, well-appointed North Wing - Pitmedden Gardens, praising its grandeur, antique furnishings, and the exclusive access to beautiful gardens. The property's warmth, cleanliness, and picturesque location contribute to a memorable stay, despite some feedback on lounge comfort and Wi-Fi reach.

The property is consistently described as clean, with guests noting its spotless condition upon arrival. However, a few mentions of cobwebs and dirty plates suggest room for improvement, but these are minor compared to the overall high standards maintained.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity and picturesque surroundings, with the added bonus of private access to Pitmedden Gardens. Guests appreciate the proximity to local amenities and attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring.

While the beds receive high marks for comfort, the lounge furniture is frequently mentioned as uncomfortable. Guests have suggested bringing additional cushions, indicating that while the property is generally comfortable, the seating in the lounge could be improved.

The property is well-equipped with modern kitchen appliances, ample parking, and a powerful shower. However, some guests report issues with heating controls, lighting, and Wi-Fi coverage, suggesting that while facilities are good, there is scope for maintenance and upgrades.

There are no specific mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, while guests are generally satisfied with their experience, there is no information to assess this category.

We did have some difficulty with the heaters in two of the bedrooms, Old Craig and the bedroom facing it across the landing. The heaters kept cutting out and becoming stone cold, despite our best efforts and having read the manual for advice. The backup moveable heaters saved the situation. But everything else was very much to our liking. Being able to access the garden is wonderful, and we met a very friendly black cat which followed us around.

Provided a great base for exploring the many other NTS sites in the Aberdeen area. Having Pitmedden Gardens at the back door was an added bonus - will definitely be back at some point. However just a couple of negative points - the oven was in need of a good clean and there was no kitchen cloth/cleaner for use on the work surfaces.

It is huge and well appointed. Having immediate access to the gorgeous gardens each day was such a thrill and we felt like stately lords and ladies. Thank you so much. Well located for attractions, castles and nearby walks. We would definitely stay again. Julie
