Guests say

Gardener's Cottage in Forfar is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its peacefulness, cleanliness, and comfort, including a notably comfortable bed. The rural setting offers beautiful views and is ideal for those seeking a quiet retreat. Guests have appreciated the thoughtful touches such as a welcome pack, though some noted the bathroom size and heating issues. Overall, it provides a cosy base for exploring the local area.

Most guests found the cottage to be spotlessly clean, with a few exceptions noting cobwebs and dust. The majority of reviews, however, commend the cleanliness, suggesting a generally high standard of hygiene.

The location is highly praised for its quiet, rural setting with outstanding views and proximity to local amenities. It serves as a great base for walking and exploring the Angus area, although one review mentioned a less appealing view and difficulty finding the property.

The comfort of the cottage is frequently highlighted, especially the bed's comfort. However, some guests mentioned issues with the heating and the bathroom's cramped space, slightly lowering the score.

Facilities are generally well-received, with the kitchen being well-equipped and a log burner adding to the experience. However, some guests reported maintenance issues such as a broken freezer compartment, insufficient lighting, and a lack of pressure in the shower head.

Guests often mentioned the thoughtful welcome pack, which included items like wine, milk, and biscuits. While these gifts are greatly appreciated, it's important to note that such extras, while common, are not guaranteed with every stay.

The bedroom smelled. The toilet seat was not secure, the bathroom tap was not secured properly. The bathroom ceiling had mould on it.There was supposed to be a garden to sit in,there was not.The scertain boards were filthy.I don't think this property should have a good rating, very disappointing. The television was too small and you couldn't watch the BBC channels
