While there was an isolated report of dissatisfaction regarding cleanliness and maintenance, the majority of guests have had a positive stay, celebrating special occasions and appreciating the thoughtful touches provided by the owners.

The reviews are mixed regarding cleanliness. While there is no direct mention of cleanliness from most guests, one review cited issues with rubbish in the driveway and a musty smell, suggesting room for improvement.

The location is highly praised for its easy access, remote feel, and proximity to the southern Cairngorms. The views and direct access to nature activities like walks and bike rides contribute to a high score.

The location is amazing and although on a farm is very peaceful. The sunsets and sunrises are spectacular from North Lodge as is the night sky . The garden is biodiverse thus allowing nature into it ie pheasants, rabbits etc . The cottage is clearly loved and a lot of care has gone into it with wonderful finishing touches . There are many things I loved about North Lodge but in particular we didnt have to do anything as we went in ie turn on heating, fridge etc it was already done . Thanks to the owners for our wonderful ,perfect week at North Lodge where we spent celebrating 40 years together . We ll be back :) Ps the key isnt under the mat so please dont go round the garden looking for it . Whoops

The pictures do not reflect the true conditions . The car parking had various rubbish in the driveway, when i arrived the property was very cold . owners had not bothered to heat it up for our arrival..not sure when the property was last rented out prior to my stay but there was a musty/damp smell. 3 windows in the living room could NOT be opened .we lasted 15 hours and had to leave due toone of my family suffering an asthmatic attack. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THIS PROPERTY ..and this is my 9th property i haverented from SYKES...sykes had tried to contact the owner but have not been succssful.
