Our stay at the Courtyard Suite, Pitscandly House was just perfect: from the comfortable, well thought-out living space, to the beautiful, walled garden, to the friendly horses, to the welcoming shortbread provided by the Gow family! It was a lovely honeymoon spent in a beautiful part of Scotland. We enjoyed visiting all the local sites, and could have easily filled another week seeing other attractions. The apartment really is located in a great spot, and we were glad to have taken our bikes along. Great spot for taking small children, too- our little boy loved it. We would love to revisit- it will always be a special place for us. Thank you, Anona, for your generous spirit and kind welcome.

This is a portion of a beautiful 18th century house, the courtyard garden that you enter by has a feel of elegance and history. The walled garden behind is beautifully kept, the quality that you might pay to go to at a castle gardens, but it is yours to enjoy anytime. The family are wonderfully friendly when approached but discreet enough to be largely unobserved.Inside, the bathroom and the kitchen side of the main room are well equipped and have a freshly done-up feel, the rooms have antique furniture that is well kept. On the less positive side the wallpaper is beyond dated, and the rooms are right above the family’s kitchen. There is no wifi, though mobile signal is good and the TV runs freeview. The farm is round the corner and does not interfere at all.I recommend this accommodation for its period and “historic novel” feel.

Seeing the deer on the farm and red squirrels on the bird table outside our window. Sitting and enjoying the beautiful walled garden. Spacious accommodation.A couple of points discussed with owner who lives on site and is relatively new to offering self catering accommodation.
