Breakfast makes use of fine, local produce. The Anchor’s full Scottish includes black pudding, beans, sausage, mushrooms, tomato and a potato scone, and there is smoked salmon with scrambled eggs or Loch Fyne smoked haddock with poached eggs. Pastries, yoghurts, tea and coffee are also on the menu.
Tarbert has its own 9-hole golf course and stunning scenery, with the hotel looking out over East Loch. The village is just over 1 hour’s drive from the spectacular Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.
