The cottage is very comfortable and cosy, perfect for November. The owners have gone to great lengths to equip and decorate it with great attention to detail. We wouldn't change a thing. The location is lovely if you like bird life, and our dogs loved the walks in the woods straight from the cottage. Heartily recommended!

Words do not even do justice to the complete magic that this place has! Thought and kindness has been put into every little detail of this cottage and its surroundings, and all the special little touches really sets this cottage apart from anywhere else we have stayed. Absolutely delightful! The owners Lynne and Geoff were absolute superstars and made our holiday! And who could forget their wonderful dogs, who were amazing with our dog and kids, and their brood of chickens whose eggs we enjoyed daily! We cannot wait to return! A truly wonderful holiday filled with pure relaxation and enabling us as a family to fully embrace the beautiful nature surrounding us. We will be back soon!

We have just returned from our 2nd visit to The Cottage in the Woods and what a week we have had. We arrived late at night in the dark and Geoff still greeted us with a warm welcome. Upon entering the house I got the same goosebumps I had last time, the lights, the fires the coziness of it all. It made me just as excited as I had been the first time we visited in the spring. The cottage is such an amazing place to stay, it has everything you could need and more! The little touches like fresh flowers, wood for the fires, the welcome gifts all add to how perfect the cottage is and how amazing Lynne and Geoff are. The placement of the cottage is perfect to explore the local area, which was breathtakingly beautiful with the autumn colours. My only regret is we didn’t spend enough time in the stunning grounds around the cottage … next time we will. We arrived home the very early hours of this morning and I’ve woken up very sad to not still be in Scotland. Thank you both again, the property is perfect and you are both such amazing humans. We will definitely see you again! Xx
