Snaptrip says

Edge Hill is a well-received cottage with guests praising its beautiful location, well-equipped kitchen, and thoughtful touches. The secure garden is appreciated by dog owners, and the property's proximity to walking paths is a highlight. Some guests noted the bedroom size and firmness of the bed as drawbacks, yet the overall sentiment is positive with many expressing a desire to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found the cottage to be spotlessly clean, with only a few isolated comments about minor cleaning issues. The consistent mention of cleanliness suggests a high standard is typically maintained.

The location is highly praised for its beauty, tranquility, and proximity to walking routes like the Southern Upland Way. The village's friendliness and the local pub's quality are also noted, contributing to a very positive view of the location.

Comfort received mixed reviews. While many guests found the cottage cosy and the garden enjoyable, some had issues with the firmness of the bed and the size of the bedroom. The living room furniture was also mentioned as being a bit tired or lacking support.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the cottage being described as well-equipped and organised. However, some guests suggested improvements such as a more powerful vacuum cleaner for pet hair and a preference for a washer/dryer over a dishwasher.

While many reviews mention thoughtful touches like welcome packs and the provision of maps and guides, there is not enough information to guarantee such gifts for future guests. The consistent mention of these details, however, indicates a level of thoughtfulness in the property's setup.

Due to a storm passing through we simply sat for one day, and enjoyed doing nothing much watching the TV.

Extra pillows would have been good. A cafetiere in the kitchen would have been nice - although I knew there wasn't one I failed to pack one.
