Laurieknowe Coach House has a quiet and private location but is only a very short walk to all that the town centre has to offer. The town has many historical links to both Scotland’s bloody past through Robert the Bruce and more refined culture with figures such as Robert Burns, who lived, worked and in the town while only a 5 minute walk away is Moat Brae House which inspired Peter Pan’s creation, the house is now open to the public so that you can enjoy it’s history and fascination too. The River Nith runs through the town with attractive and peaceful walks and public parks.

This was our second visit to this property, again we were very pleased with our accommodation throughout, it's like home from home for us ! Beautifully presented, clean, and thoughtful decor, our hosts Lyn and Alex are very attentive and we appreciated the added extras for ourselves and Billy Bob

A hidden gem in a very central location in Dumfries. A beautiful, well maintained dog friendly cottage within a 10 minute walk into the centre of Dumfries and close to many amenities. On arrival we experienced a warm welcome from our hosts Linda and Alex, who were on hand offering some great local advice on places to visit. We also received a lovely welcome pack to help us settle in - the bottle of Proseco was an added bonus and went down a treat! We will definitely be back.
