The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, wildlife spotting opportunities, and stunning views, including the sea and the Isle of Man on clear days. The quiet setting is ideal for a peaceful retreat.

The cottage is described as comfortable and homely, with spacious rooms and quality furnishings. However, a few minor issues with a mattress and shower mat suggest there is slight room for improvement.

Once again another wonderful week at 1 Chapleton Cottage. The cottage was immaculately clean and tidy when we arrived, and has everything you need for a lovely relaxing stay. It is fully equipped with everything you would need. The double mattress is now beyond its best and could do with replacing, it’s a bit lumpy. Some hooks on the rear of the front bedroom door would be handy. The toilet flush handle needs looking at, it sometimes took a couple of presses for it to flush. The cottage is in a beautiful location, with lots of wild birds on the feeders. We have stayed at the cottage approximately 10 times (or more), which speaks volumes as to how nice it is. AND we can take our dog who really likes the enclosed garden, and saying hello to the cows!

A lovely semi-detached cottage in a superbly quiet setting. Clean, well appointed, good bedding and spacious rooms. A well looked after garden, the back overlooking open fields. If it’s peace you’re after, here it is. Elaine was particularly helpful and a lovely contact. Plenty of wildlife around the cottage and down the lanes. Loved it.
