Some concerns were raised about specific maintenance issues, but the overall sentiment is positive, with many looking forward to returning.
Most guests found the cottage to be clean and comfortable. However, a few mentioned it could benefit from a more thorough cleaning, noting dust and leftover items from previous guests. These instances seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.
The cottage is praised for its quiet and peaceful location, with easy access to local areas and good walking routes directly from the property. The surrounding area is described as beautiful, contributing to a restful stay.
Guests generally found the cottage to be warm, cosy, and spacious. Some guests mentioned the beds could be improved with better mattresses and mattress protectors, but overall, the comfort level is high.
The cottage is well-equipped, particularly the kitchen, and guests appreciated the washing machine. Some maintenance issues were noted, such as a non-securing Yale lock and a need for a heater in the conservatory. The presence of fake grass was also a minor concern.
Guests were delighted with welcome gifts and the provision of lovely towels, which added to the homely feel of the cottage. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it's important to note that such personal touches may vary and are not guaranteed.

We wanted a quiet, peaceful week and that’s exactly what we got. The cottage was warm, clean and comfortable and watching the wildlife in the garden was brilliant. We were visited by deer, hare and a variety of birds at the feeders. Evelyn was a super hostess and will always respond quickly should any thing need attending to. The only slight improvement would be a small heater for the conservatory as it cools down quite quickly. There were excellent walks from the cottage as well as around Kirkcudbright generally. A lovely part of the world and somewhere we intend returning to. Would definitely recommend this property.
