It is a little 'frayed around the edges', but that adds to its character and makes it feel like a comfy home rather than something out of a design magazine. It is large enough that everyone can find a place that suits them, and children are well catered for with the garden, outdoor play area, play room and separate room to watch T.V./play video games. The bedrooms and bathrooms are large and well equipped, as are the kitchen and utility rooms. The garden is lovely (sadly the weather was not in our favour for sitting out during our stay), and private. It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, despite being a short walk from the village and good pub. There is plenty to do nearby, and shops are a short drive away. The owner left a lovely welcome treat for us, and was very easy to communicate with. We would highly recommend Berryburn for any large group gathering.

We had a wonderful celebration of our Diamond Wedding Anniversary with family and friends Berryburn is a comfortable and very well furnished country house with lots of pictures, ornaments and vases which means it’s like being at home It perhaps is in need of a little TLC here and there, but this is no way detracts from the ambience and comfort of Berryburn It is truly a lovely home to stay for any celebration with family and friends

We had lots of rain so the size of the house was important , the children had the games room and plenty room on the large table for board games .The pub just across the bridge was ideal for lunch or dinner . We all had a lovely break .
