South Milton Cottage is highly praised for its immaculate condition, peaceful and stunning location, and high-quality furnishings. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, comfortable beds, and the thoughtful touches from the hosts. The property's renovation and views are also commended, making it a recommended choice for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The cottage receives consistent accolades for its cleanliness, with guests describing it as immaculate and very clean. One mention of dog hair does not significantly detract from the overall high standards noted by visitors.

The location is celebrated for its quietness, proximity to beaches and coastal walks, and the opportunity to observe wildlife. Its convenience for exploring local attractions is also appreciated, contributing to a high rating.

Comfort is highly rated with guests enjoying the comfortable beds and cosy atmosphere. However, some guests mention issues with heating control and low ceilings upstairs, which slightly impacts the overall comfort score.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the cottage being described as well-equipped and thoughtfully furnished. A few guests experienced minor issues with heating and DVD viewing, but these are exceptions in otherwise positive feedback.

The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident through mentions of welcome gifts and helpful communication. While such personal touches are highly valued, it is noted that these gestures are subject to the hosts' discretion and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need. Cooking facilities spot on. Beds really comfy. All clean and ready to go. Others have mentioned the headroom upstairs - remember to turn on the nightlight on the landing for any nighttime bathroom trips and you’ll be fine. Lovely stroll to the beach. Easy drives for days out. Decided to walk to the Cock Inn but weather changed our minds about walking which we were glad of so worth having a designated driver. Had some wild weather a few days but so cosy with log fire and all streaming apps on TVs for a family movie. Games, books and DVDs available too. Kid joined us later after a camp so washer and dryer were a Godsend. Highly recommend.

The description of the cottage is accurate: it is worth noting that headroom upstairs is as limited as they say, but this didn’t cause any problems for us (even my 6’4” husband!). Great location for visiting the Rhins of Galloway and the Machars, and cosy to return to at the end of the day. Thanks for a relaxing stay.

Loads of light and airy space downstairs. Watching the antics of the 4 hares in the field behind all week was a real treat. It would be safer if the edges of the rafters across the landing were painted a contrasting colour - it is currently all too easy to bang your head in the limited head space around the staircase.
