The details did state it only had a fridge so we had to take food that had long dates on it. The cottage details stated that the heating programmes were already set times and set at 21 as per Scottish law. Considering we paid extra towards the fuel cost It would have been nice to have an over ride button so that we could have the heating on when we wanted as there were times we felt cold.

One of the group was extremely ill whilst on holiday and the facilities provided enabled them to isolate in a separate bathroom to their partner. Its location is stunning. We loved the far reaching views and the sunsets each night. Once we navigated the country lanes, it was easy to find our way back but we got lost initially a few times!! Pity I couldn't find anywhere who sold Mauchline ware. I really wanted to buy some. Also when I wanted to send a postcard to Australia, the post office assistant in Mauchline didn't know where Australia was when working out the postage!! Apart from the challenging health issues, really enjoyed exploring a new area of Scotland.

The cottage is definitely one of the best we have stayed in. The cottage is so well equipped throughout, that there was nothing it didnât have. It is extremely clean and comfortable to the highest standards, the views from the picture window are amazing and, the location is perfect for visiting Ayrshire completely. The homemade cake was delicious and Jason made us feel very welcome. It was lovely speaking to Erin about her painting and ours has pride of place in our home! We will definitely return in the future and, in the meantime, will recommend it to family and friends.
