We love everything about the Riverside Cottages by Loch Ness. But if we had to say one thing it’s the setting with the most amazing, authentic Highland views.. Ground Floor:
All on the ground floor.
Living room: With Freesat TV and patio doors leading to patio.
Kitchen/dining room: With patio doors leading to patio, electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Bedroom: With double bed.
Shower room: With shower cubicle, toilet and heated towel rail.. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included.. Patio, sitting area with garden furniture and 7 acres of private land with river walks (shared with other cottages on-site). Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. . Riverside Cottages by Loch Ness give their location away, they’re beside the River Nairn and Loch Ness is nearby. The Loch in the Great Glen is only a short drive away, and what a drive it is. To reach Loch Ness you can go a variety of ways, but all of them are fascinating and attractive. The way via Loch Ruthven is particularly special and stopping at the Ruthven rspb spot is definitely a recommendation. Also the route to Fort Augustus is a highlight because at Loch Tarff the iconic Local Hero shot some scenes.
As well as being an excellent place from which to explore Loch Ness, Primrose Cottage and the other cottages make an excellent base for adventures further afield. Being centrally located in the Highlands and only 20 minutes from Inverness means there are loads of roads for you to choose from to go off in any direction to explore different parts of this beautiful area. The NC500 is close as it starts and finishes in Inverness, so you can be heading north exploring in no time. Make sure you visit the Black Isle just north of Inverness. To the east you have the Moray Firth coastal route which will lead you to places likes Culbin Forest, the Findhorn River and Bay, and many characterful fishing villages. To the south you have mountains: the Monadhliath Mountains are your local range and your perfectly located at the Riverside Cottages by Loch Ness to explore these. A bit further south, but still only thirty minutes away, you have the Cairngorms National Park with tens of Munros to climb and ski stations for winter enthusiasts. And out west beyond Fort Augustus, Fort William beckons and more importantly so do Ben Nevis and Glencoe.
We could go on and on about how brilliant these cottages are, but there’s not enough space. Don’t hesitate, book now and be forever glad that you did so. Beach 23 miles. Pub and restaurant 11 miles.
Primrose Cottage (UK36328) can be booked together with Foxglove Cottage (UK36327) and Honeysuckle Cottage (UK36329) to accommodate up to 6 guests.
