Inverness is the gateway to Scotland's Highlands. Mountains, lochs, woodlands, and coastal cliffs are easily accessible. Loch Ness is surrounded by stunning beauty, yet most visitors are looking for something enigmatic. Culloden Battlefield located outside the city (National Trust). A walk on the field, location of the last major conflict fought on British soil, is a heartbreaking remembrance of the clansmen who died. Inverness contains museums, an art gallery, theatre, leisure facilities, shopping, bars, and restaurants. The River Ness and Moray Firth are home to a variety of wildlife and marine life, including red kites and dolphins, which can be seen from the shore or on harbour tours.

This was an absolutely beautiful house in a beautiful part of Scotland. We were so comfortable here with all the lovely little luxuries. Having travelled throughout the Scottish Highlands to many amazing places, it was a pleasure to return to 16a Fairfield Road. The house was clean and the different themed bedrooms were beautifully decorated. This cottage is truly a jewel in the crown that is the Scottish Highlands.
