Guests say

2 Riverside is a charming cottage in Inverness, appreciated for its location and Scottish-themed decor. Guests have enjoyed the proximity to Loch Ness and the thoughtful touches by the owners, especially during festive seasons. While some guests found the property comfortable and well-appointed, others noted issues with cleanliness and maintenance that need addressing.

The cleanliness of the property has received mixed feedback. Some guests found the house clean and tidy, while others reported it as unhygienic, with dirty floors and kitchenware. The presence of cobwebs and a dirty fridge were also mentioned.

The location is highly praised for its natural beauty and proximity to Loch Ness. It is considered ideal for families and walkers looking to explore the area. However, some guests noted the presence of noisy neighbours, which impacted their experience.

Guests have found the house comfortable overall, with a warm welcome and cosy atmosphere. However, there were comments about the kitchen size being small for larger groups and issues with hot water which affected the comfort level for some.

The facilities have been met with mixed reviews. Guests appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and the cosy fireplace, but several maintenance issues were raised, including a problematic shower, a sticky front door, and a boiler emitting fumes.

The owners have been commended for their thoughtfulness, particularly during the Christmas season. However, as not all reviews mention gifts or special touches, and to manage expectations, it should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

It was a few miles either way to reach the nearest towns. Property was lovely but wasn't as clean as could be. The fridge hadn't been cleaned out, the bin lid had stains on it and there were a good few cobwebs, cutlery had food residue on some and the bins outside were full to over flowing. The washing machine which i didn't use had a constant leak which i dried up every day as did the radiator in the living room and the bottom hall.

I especially enjoyed the apples from the tree in the back garden which in spring and summer would be lovely for a BBQ. For us it was late necessities for the dog. The house was warm and cosy and heated quickly with a boost. The only thing we could fault were the bath and shower facilities , only stayed for a short break and could not make the downstairs shower above tepid, despite instructions, perhaps we would have sussed it if we’d been there for a week!! This did not detract from the stay just would have been top scores all around without this minor inconvenience. Thanks for the stay.
