Extremely quiet but only one mile from the village and the little shop for any necessities. Love watching the various sea birds just across from the cottage and those views are stunning! Glenelg (and this cottage) are very dog friendly, sadly we lost our dog last year but would highly recommend to dog owners

The bedroom layout ( even though we knew about it) didnât work for us unfortunately. Itâs very remote so bring provisions. No welcome pack of basics and the little shop is shut from 5:00. Also no fire wood which the listing in Sykes eluded that there would be. All in all the location is stunning and we had a good week.

Also the wildlife was great, seen a pine marten and dolphins and a white tailed eagle flying overhead, great experience.Would definitely recommend Roddy's cottage.
