This charming cottage nestles on a pretty hillside in the tiny village of Letterfearn, overlooking Loch Duich with views down the loch to the Five Sisters of Kintail. The elevated situation of the cottage is enhanced by the addition of a full length covered veranda from which the spectacular location can be truly appreciated in all weathers. With the spacious accommodation on one level there are two generously proportioned bedrooms, a twin room and a double room, which has doors leading out to its own private decked patio area. The well-equipped and sunny kitchen/dining room is simply ideal for those who wish to enjoy home-cooked meals together and the cosy sitting room with the woodburning stove is to be enjoyed after a busy and active day. With a mountainous backdrop and wonderful views to the front it will be hard to leave this perfect spot but close by there are an amazing amount of activities to be enjoyed. A short drive around the loch takes you to the much photographed Eilean Donan Castle which boasts a good restaurant and shop and the castle is open to the public for much of the year and well worth a visit. If castles interest you then cross the bridge to Skye and incorporate a visit to Dunvegan Castle during your tour around the magical island. For a more adventurous drive follow the hill road over Mam Ratagan and into the village of Glenelg. The road itself is a popular attraction with great viewpoints and during the summer months a small ferry crosses the Sound of Sleat to Skye which is a special crossing and perhaps more enjoyable than taking the bridge. A wonderful unspoilt area and a charming cottage to ensure a great holiday. EPC Rating: Band F

The cottage is in the most perfect location and the views from the verandah are breathtaking. We loved watching all the wildlife and birds from the verandah which is a real bonus as even if it is torrential rain you can still sit outside. One of our highlights was paddleboarding on the loch with the backdrop of Eilean Donan Castle. It is well placed to visit the Isle of Skye but we preferred the scenery from Loch Duich. The cottage is well equipped and has everything you need for a cosy and relaxing stay. We would highly recommend and would love to stay again in the future.
