Burnside Cottage is consistently praised for its immaculate condition, stunning loch views, and high-quality furnishings. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable living spaces, and thoughtful touches like fresh flowers. Its central location on Skye makes it an ideal base for exploring the island. Despite some minor suggestions for improvements, the overwhelming sentiment is one of satisfaction and a desire to return.
Reviewers frequently mention the spotless and well-maintained state of the cottage, indicating a very high standard of cleanliness that contributes positively to their overall experience.
The cottage's location is highly praised for its stunning views over the loch and central position, which is ideal for exploring Skye. The serene setting adds to the appeal, although one mention of a long drive from the mainland suggests accessibility could be a minor concern for some.
Comfort is a highlight, with guests expressing satisfaction with the cosy atmosphere, underfloor heating, and comfortable furnishings. The spaciousness and quality of the bedrooms and living areas contribute to a restful stay.
Facilities are generally regarded as excellent, with a well-stocked kitchen and high-quality fixtures. However, a few comments about internet connectivity and the desire for additional amenities like insect screens and a barbecue slightly temper the score.
Guests frequently mention thoughtful gestures such as fresh flowers and lights turned on for a welcoming arrival. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it is politely noted that such personal touches, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.
