About this property
Otter Lodge is a secluded log cabin tucked away in Blackmuir Wood in the Scottish Highlands spa village of Strathpeffer. Providing welcoming accommodation, use this as a peaceful countryside getaway with your friends or family. Step up into the property and feel instantly refreshed with the wood-clad walls giving a rustic feel, and a lovely family bathroom rests to your left. The two bedrooms sit on one side of the hallway; a double and a twin are thoughtfully designed to make you feel at home whilst you get your much-deserved rest. The accommodation is complete with a welcoming open-plan living area which hosts a snug sitting area with a TV, a well-equipped kitchen to prepare those delicious meals and a pleasant dining table to enjoy them at. Make the most of this tranquil, secluded location by taking a seat on the decked veranda with a refreshing drink and taking in the lovely views. Alternatively, enjoy a stroll through Blackmuir Forest which is a fine place for spotting birds and squirrels. The village of Strathpeffer comes with a café and a restaurant, as well as the interesting Pump Room and the Highland Museum of Childhood. For a wider variety of amenities, Dingwall is just five miles away, also home to a museum. Further afield, the magnificent city of Inverness is a must-visit, showcasing striking architecture, high-quality amenities and a picturesque red sandstone castle.
