The Waterfall Retreat is a stunning stone house, once a working mill originating in the 16th century. It has a private waterfall, pond, and extensive gardens to explore. Located only 15 minutes from Glasgow International Airport, 25 minutes from Glasgow, and 30 minutes from some of the most beautiful coastline in Scotland.
There are two bedrooms and a bathroom with on ground level, both with beautiful hardwood sleigh beds, comfortable Emma mattresses and ample storage space for you. The master bedroom has a breathtaking view of the outside space. The bathroom has a gorgeous original cast iron bath (once featured in the TV series, Dr Finlays Casebook) as well as a shower. Upstairs is a open plan living space with restored Apa wood floorboards and a vaulted ceiling. There are several comfy seating areas where you can relax and a characterful wood burner to keep you toasty. A sound system and Chromecast TV is provided for you to enjoy music and programs of your choice. The kitchen is fully equipped with all you need to cook up a storm.
Outside there is a large wooded area to wander in, a flowing river, a holding pool and seating where you can enjoy the mesmerising view of the Roebank Burn as it plunges over the steep precipice while sipping a drink. You can even brave a dip into the natural water surrounded by the rocky ravine and wild vegetation - a magical experience.
This is a vegetarian and shoe-free home so please leave your outdoor shoes in the hall near the front door. Bring your slippers!
Due to the rural location of this home there is wildlife including bats, woodpeckers and deer that visit this property.
