Guests say

George Cottage is generally praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and prime location close to town amenities and scenic walks. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen and find the property to be a comfortable base for exploring the area. While some guests mention issues with bed comfort and living room furnishings, the overall experience is positive, with many willing to recommend the cottage and return for another stay.

Most guests find the cottage to be clean and well-maintained, with only a few mentioning cobwebs and cleanliness issues. The positive remarks on cleanliness from several reviews suggest a high standard is typically met.

The cottage's location is frequently highlighted as excellent, being close to the town, amenities, and river walks. The ease of finding the property and its proximity to attractions contribute to a high score.

While the property is described as roomy and the kitchen and dining areas are well-received, there are mixed reviews regarding the comfort of the beds and sofas, with some guests finding them uncomfortable.

The cottage is praised for being well-equipped and spacious. However, concerns about the quality of mattresses, the need for an additional shower, and issues with living room furniture maintenance affect the score.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate the thoughtfulness of the hosts. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

The single beds and mattresses are shocking. The upstairs double isn't great. Upstairs bathroom is massive but needs a shower with 8 guests 1 shower is not enough in my opinion I know it's been mentioned before. The livingroom sofas have had multiple repairs to middle legs (Metal original leg obviously a thing of the past and 2 plastic cabinet legs added have been screwed on atleast 4 times) and we had to repair 3 times, eventually giving up and using books for middle structure. Not capable of holding 3 average adults without collapsing. Lack of clear instructions and guidance on appliances like washing machine. Clothes dryer is on 3 legs so couldn't be used.

Had everything we needed for our stay. Couple of older chairs and single beds creaking but small niggles compared with the great property. Plenty of space and a great kitchen for everyone to congregate while cooking! Great stay in a great area.
