Isla Cottage in Blairgowrie is praised for its comfort, cleanliness, and quiet location, making it an ideal base for exploring Perthshire. Guests appreciate the well-equipped and tastefully decorated property, with some noting the convenience for golfers and the secure bike storage. While some minor maintenance issues and a lack of certain amenities are mentioned, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests willing to return.
The majority of guests found the cottage to be clean and well-maintained, though there were isolated comments about dog hairs and crumbs. These seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.
The cottage is consistently described as well-situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, close to local attractions and amenities, making it a great base for sightseeing and enjoying the local area.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with cosy furnishings and a homely feel. However, some guests mentioned issues with heating and the suitability of the bath and shower for those with disabilities.
While the property is generally well-equipped, there are several remarks about missing amenities such as a smart TV, adequate lighting, and cleaning supplies. The presence of a secure garden and bike storage is a plus.
There are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches provided by the hosts, so it is not possible to assess this category accurately.

Situated on the banks of the River Ericht, the red stone town of Blairgowrie makes a fabulous base for exploring the beautiful county of Perth and the lovely Angus Glens. The town is overlooked by hills and mountains, making this region superb walking, riding and cycling country. Golfers are very well catered for with many courses in the area including Rosemount and St Andrews and Gleneagles all within easy reach. Glamis Castle has a long history, and is said to be the most haunted castle in Scotland as well as the setting for Shakespeare's Macbeth. Close to amenities, and next to a choice of walking areas. Dog friendly, with a bowl, towels, bags and secure area provided, would recommend this property to anyone that wishes to explore this area and have a very nice cottage to return to after a day out.

The property for us was great and the owner was easily contactable for queries ie I asked if hairdryer was provided and local supermarket location and I received a prompt reply.

The cottage was so clean, well equipped and comfortable. Beds very comfy. The owners were very helpful in allowing us to store our bikes in the garage. Although the weather wasnât in our favour the cottage was central for visits to Alyth, Dundee Discovery Point, Dunkeld and Loch of Lowes. Thank you for a lovely stay.
