About this property

The Wee Lodge is a detached lodge situated in Glendevon Country Park, Scotland. The property is in an elevated position and would be unsuitable for those with limited mobility, despite the accommodation all being located on the ground floor. Entering the lodge into a spacious hallway, you will be led into an open-plan living room with a plush sofa and two armchairs surrounding an electric fireplace and a flatscreen TV mounted on the wall. There are side double doors leading outside, which have wonderful views over the surrounding lodges and greenery. All rooms have a light and minimal decor, which coincides with the outdoor rustic theme. There is a small dining area with seating for up to four people, as well as a fitted kitchen with high-quality white cabinets and wooden worktops, packed with all the equipment you could need. Along the hallway are two spacious bedrooms; one double with an en-suite shower room, and a twin. Both bedrooms have top of the range wooden furniture and cupboards for storing your personal belongings. There is a family bathroom with a luxurious bath, ideal for late night soaks. The room has a similar neutral decor as the other rooms, however it also has an attractive blue tiling around the bathroom fittings, giving the room some character. Off-road parking is available for two cars. Dollar is not a place to be missed, as it is ideally located near various tourist attractions. Castle Campbell, a medieval castle, was the lowland seat of the earls and dukes of Argyll from the 15th to the 19th century, and was visited by Mary Queen of Scots in the 16th century. There are opportunities for sightseeing, walking, cycling and hill walking in the expansive local countryside, including Dollar Glen, found in the Ochils that dramatically mark the Highland fault. Steeped in history, visit Clackmannan Tower, a five-storey tower house situated at the summit of King's Seat Hill. The Wee Lodge is ideal for a couple or small family to enjoy the town and explore the local area. EPC Rating: Band E

Dollar is a small town in Clackmannanshire, Scotland. It is one of the Hillfoots Villages, situated between the Ochil Hills. Dollar is now mainly residential; however, for a long time it was known for its industries. Attempts were made to mine lead and copper in Dollar Glen from the 18th century and possibly earlier. There are various sports facilities, including an 18-hole golf course (notable for its steep inclines and lack of bunkers), a tennis club, a squash club, a bowling club, and a cricket club.

Everything is so well appointed and the hosts were amazing. Cannot fault it at all. Beautifully located in the middle of woodland, perfect for walks with the dogs.

Had a wonderful time and what a view to wake up to everyday. Only thing I will point out (and not the fault of the host just missed by me) is the fact the TV doesn't connect to things like youtube/netflix ect (unless we just missed how) so if you do rely on those and want to watch on a tv, I would recommend bringing the means to do so, such as console/laptop. Would stay again for sure.

We’ve stayed at 23 Sykes properties and this one certainly stands above the rest for the amount of thought given to the little things that may be needed, toothbrush and toothpaste, soaps, lotions and even dog poo bags and loads more not to forget, milk, tea/coffee and biscuits….and pods for the coffee machine. A beautifully presented lodge, immaculately turned out and fastidiously clean, comfy bed, bathroom and en suite, recliner chairs and sofa and nice big tv Well placed to tour this area of Scotland with Perth & Stirling close by and about an hour across to St Andrews or north to Pitlochry & Callander Our two dogs had a great time gazing out across the Park being in an elevated position and easy to nip out for a quick wee Thank you to the owners and Jessie who popped round to make sure we were ok, this lodge is like a home from home so would definitely return and recommend
