Items in need of repair: Upstairs WC toilet seat and towel holder broken; Downstairs hot tap too stiff to turn off; Door handle/lock to property too stiff and hard to secure; Other: Directions to find property not good enough (need What 3 Words); Impossible to use shower without water escaping, due to shower curtain in front of shower controls; Kitchen layout so bad only one person can be in the room at a time; Water temperature so hot from taps it burns; Garden not secure, dogs easily escape under hedge into neighbouring garden which is next to train track; Mattress in downstairs bedroom misshapen and uncomfortable, as are pillows; Dining chairs so big there is no room for legs under table; No laundry basket or airer to dry clothes indoors; Freezer full of ice; Not enough surfaces in bedrooms to place every day items; Water filter noisy all day. The tap water tastes delicious though!

But the main disappointment is linked to cleanliness: the kitchen was very greasy and smelly. We spent 2 hours cleaning all dishes and cutlery, and the kitchen hood was absolutely filthy! We sent a message at the beginning of our stay to complain about it and the only answer we got was that the owner would be aware of it for further improvement⦠not really a professional answer in my opinion! Apart from that, the location is very convenient to discover some very nice spots in Scotland !

All the facilities were great and the garden was the icing on the cake. Our dog wanted to be outside the whole time and did not want to leave when it was time to go home. Will definitely return if possible.
