Guests say

Blackadder Lodge is highly praised for its peaceful location, cleanliness, and spacious garden, making it ideal for families, pets, and nature lovers. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, comfortable furnishings, and the thoughtful touches, such as a welcome box of goodies. The lodge's setting offers beautiful views and wildlife encounters, with easy access to local attractions and nature walks.

Guests consistently note the lodge's cleanliness, describing it as spotless and well-maintained. The high standard of cleanliness contributes significantly to the comfort and enjoyment of their stay.

The lodge's location is frequently highlighted for its tranquillity and natural beauty, with wildlife sightings and scenic views. Its proximity to local towns and amenities, as well as nature parks and coastal walks, is also appreciated.

Reviewers find the lodge cosy, warm, and comfortable, with ample space and well-equipped for a relaxing stay. The beds are particularly mentioned for their comfort, enhancing the overall guest experience.

The lodge is praised for its well-equipped kitchen and modern appliances, though some guests suggest minor improvements such as additional cutlery and crockery. The presence of Wi-Fi and a secure garden for dogs are well-received, although there are comments about low toilets and the need for grab rails in the shower for those with mobility issues.

While guests mention thoughtful gestures like a welcome box of goodies, there is not enough information to determine if such gifts are a consistent offering. Therefore, while the property is generally considered thoughtful in its provisions, it cannot be guaranteed that such extras will always be provided.

Chirnside is situated on a bluff above the River Whiteadder, with breathtaking views of the Cheviot and Lammermuir Hills. A 16th century dovecot and a lovely parish church, thought to date back to the 12th century, are just two of the village's many notable landmarks. The Jim Clark Rally, the only 'closed roads' event on mainland Britain, is held in and around the Borders every summer as a tribute to the village's native son.

Plenty to see and do in the area. A trip to the honey farm is worth it just to see the fully refurbished chain bridge.

Spacious and luxurious. Beautiful bath and shower room, great for relaxing after long walks. Huge garden with specatuclar views. Great kitchen, very well equipped and big dining table to share family meals. Very comfortable lounge to kick back. The lodge provided the peace an tranquility needed when living a busy life. I couldn't recommend highly enough and will definitely be going back.

The garden was perfect for our dog he loved it plenty of squirrels and visiting deer to sniff out and the views over the countryside were panoramic. It was our first visit to the Borders there were plenty of places of interest to visit even in October school holidays. We would recommend using Sat Nav for travelling about roads, are tricky. Blackadder Lodge is a beautifully presented holiday home, clean, comfy and cosy we'd highly recommend it.
