Guests say

This summary has been generated using feedback from guests who have stayed at this property

The Cottage, Polwarth Crofts, is highly praised for its comfort, cleanliness, and peaceful location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, the beautiful garden, and the wildlife. The property's charm and the owners' hospitality contribute to a delightful stay, although some minor maintenance issues are noted.

Cleanliness

Guests consistently mention that the cottage is immaculately clean, with several reviews highlighting its spotlessness. One review mentioned decor being tired, but this does not directly relate to cleanliness.

Location

The location is described as peaceful, quiet, and ideal for exploring the Scottish Borders and Northumberland. It is noted for its wildlife and proximity to attractions, although one review mentioned the road leading to the property being in poor condition.

Comfort

Numerous guests found the cottage to be comfortable, with special mentions of comfy beds and a cosy atmosphere. There was a single complaint about uncomfortable soft furnishings, but this appears to be an outlier.

Facilities

The cottage is generally well-regarded for its facilities, being well-equipped and having great showers. However, some guests noted the lack of a banister rail on steep stairs, no outside lights, and the garden not being fully enclosed, which affects the score.

Thoughtfulness

Guests frequently mention a generous welcome pack, which indicates thoughtfulness from the owners. However, as gifts are not guaranteed, future guests should consider this a delightful bonus rather than an expectation.
