This two-bedroom, semi-detached cottage enjoys a great position along the Ayrshire coast in the fishing village of Maidens. Enjoying close proximity to the beach, 22 Turnberry Road welcomes families and couples, along with their four-legged friend, for a delightful stay in this idyllic region of Scotland. After a day of wandering the coastline, look forward to putting your feet up in the lounge, getting comfortable on the plush settees whilst choosing a film from the Smart TV. Move into the kitchen, where the head chef can impress the group with a home-cooked classic, assisted by the electric oven and hob, whilst there is also a handy washing machine so you can keep on top of your laundry. Spend sunny days within the rear patio, relaxing at the furniture whilst you sip on your favourite tipple. When the night grows dark, choose from two king-size bedrooms, both with zip/link beds, with the ground-floor option offering an en-suite cloakroom. 22 Turnberry Road is well-placed for holidaymakers, with a well-stocked shop just a short walk away, along with two restaurants where you can treat the group to a meal out. Spend a day on the beach or take advantage of some of the great walking and cycling trails which are available nearby. Keen golfers can take advantage of a number of excellent courses at Ayrshire, whilst family time can be spent at Swan Pond, Adventure Playground and Deer Park, something the little ones are sure to delight at. Head to the coastal town of Ayr, 14 miles away, where you can find a great selection of shops and pick up a souvenir to take home, along with a pretty esplanade with a wonderful sandy beach. Break away to this idyllic stretch of Scotland with a stay at 22 Turnberry Road.
This fishing village sits at the south end of Maidenhead Bay on the Ayrshire coast and looks out to sea with views of Arran and Ailsa Craig and the distant Mull of Kintyre. It was here that Robert the Bruce is acknowledged to have come ashore when he sailed from Rathlin Island in Northern Ireland after his encounter with the spider in the early 14th century. The ancient Earls of Carrick had their seat at Turnberry Castle which today is a ruin. Today Maidens is a popular spot for visitors with its traditional harbour, extensive beach, a couple of restaurants and its close proximity to Turnberry and the spectacular Culzean Castle.

The kitchen is small but well-equipped for a self-catering break. The beds & pillows were very comfortable. Downstairs cloakroom very useful. The adjoining neighbour has a little dog which we heard from time to time. Otherwise, an extremely quiet location.
