Guests say

Guests consistently praise the property for its cleanliness, stunning location, and the warm welcome provided by the owners. The views are frequently highlighted as a highlight, and the property is described as comfortable and well-equipped. While there are some minor comments about the comfort of the sofas and the size of the bed, the overall sentiment is extremely positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

The property is repeatedly described as very clean, with numerous guests specifically mentioning the cleanliness. There is, however, a single mention of dust and cobwebs, which slightly impacts the otherwise perfect perception of cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its sea views and proximity to the beach and coastal path. Guests appreciate the peacefulness and the natural beauty of the surroundings, making it a standout feature of their stay.

Overall, guests find the property comfortable, with a warm welcome and a homely feel. However, there are a few remarks about the sofas being uncomfortable and the bed being too soft or small, which suggests room for improvement in this area.

Facilities are generally regarded as excellent, with a well-equipped kitchen and the provision of two shower rooms. Some guests noted that certain aspects, such as the sofas and bedroom furniture, could benefit from updating or maintenance.

The owners are frequently commended for their thoughtfulness, including personal recommendations and welcome gifts. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it should be noted that such personal touches, although likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.

About this property

This light and airy, detached Bull Bay cottage boasts breathtaking views over the beach and glistening bay, located in the heart of the village, just 1 mile from Amlwch on the picturesque Anglesey coast. Min Y Traeth, which is Welsh for 'edge of the beach', really lives up to its name, commanding prime position on the waterfront, and has been lovingly refurbished and styled with a nautical coastal theme. This Bull Bay cottage features two lovely ground floor bedrooms with en-suite facilities, a well-equipped kitchen and a welcoming sitting room with porthole windows and sliding patio doors onto a lovely balcony with glass balustrade overlooking the cove, where you can relax in the sunshine, watching the world go by and perhaps even see a porpoise playing in the bay. Benefiting from two pub/restaurants within five minutes' walk, a superb golf course less than a third of a mile away, and a beach with slipway opposite the cottage, this welcoming Bull Bay cottage is perfectly located to enjoy fun-packed days in this beautiful part of Anglesey. The 125 mile Anglesey Coastal Path runs through the village and beckons walkers all year round, while the less energetic can enjoy peaceful days in complete natural beauty, just exploring the local coastline and deserted coves. This is the perfect Bull Bay cottage for friends and families to enjoy all year round.

Situated on the Northern coast of the Isle of Anglesey is the pretty seaside village of Bull Bay. The scenery around Bull Bay is stunning as is the nearby island of East Mouse, which sits within the bay and has rockpools which are perfect for shrimping and crabbing. Bull Bay also offers two hotels with restaurants and bars and a superb golf course. Close to the village is the famous Anglesey Coastal Path and just 1.5 miles away is the small, harbour town of Amlwch which boasts shops, bars and a market every Friday. Nearby is the Parys Mountain, where the Copper Mine Trail Walk is worth a visit. Also within driving distance is the historic town of Beaumaris, which has a stunning 13th century castle, museums, shops, pubs and restaurants. Bull Bay is a perfect base to explore the many attractions, towns and villages Anglesey has to offer.

The owners have put a lot of thought and love into providing everything you could need (and more!). A perfect holiday in a perfect place.

It was clean and comfortable and we were left a bottle of wine and some provisions to welcome us. The owners were very friendly and help was at hand if needed. The view from the balcony was the pièce de resistance. We have recommended Min y Traeth to our family and friends and we hope to return ourselves in the near future.

The hosts met us on arrival and were very welcoming. The upstairs lounge and kitchen were comfortable and functional with great views of the bay. The kitchen has recently been refurbished and had everything we needed. The downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms were a little tired and, in our opinion, required some maintenance both from a furniture and fixtures/fittings perspective. The cleanliness of the house was not ideal (apart from the kitchen) with dust, cobwebs, insects and damp/musty smells (mainly in the downstairs bedrooms). We have fed this back to the owner directly already.
