Guests cherish the unique, tranquil setting of West Point Lynas Lighthouse Keeper's Cottage, with its stunning views and historical charm. The property's peaceful, rural location and the opportunity for coastal walks and wildlife spotting are frequently praised. While some maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is remembered fondly, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
The property generally appears to be clean, but there are mentions of rubbish outside and a need to clear up some litter, which suggests room for improvement in the management of outdoor cleanliness.
The location is consistently lauded for its beauty and tranquillity, with guests appreciating the coastal views and the sense of seclusion. It is described as a magical and stunning setting that contributes significantly to the enjoyment of the stay.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with mentions of a warm atmosphere and comfy beds. However, there are some concerns about dampness in rooms and the need for better pillows, indicating that while comfort is generally good, there is some inconsistency.
The facilities are appreciated, such as the well-equipped kitchen and the presence of an air fryer. Nonetheless, reports of maintenance issues like broken appliances, neglected outdoor areas, and the need for repairs suggest that the facilities could be better maintained.
While guests mention welcome packs and treats, there is no consistent reference to the thoughtfulness of such gestures or their impact on the stay. Therefore, it is not possible to accurately assess this category.

I have always wanted to stay in a lighthouse and the cottage was the closest to actually staying there. We loved the remoteness and the peace and quiet. Water all around us to be able to sit there and gaze at the Irish Sea was heaven. But the highlights was seeing the northern lights the last night we were there. Stunning.

There are some general maintenance needs but what the accommodation lacks the location makes up for. The location is stunning and the perfect place to relax and unwind. I have so many happy memories of holidays spent at Point Lynas. The accommodation was lovely and warm throughout the day. It was good to see an air fryer in the kitchen. The floorboards in the master bedroom need some attention and you definitely need a torch if you are sleeping in the master bedroom as there are no sockets near the bed so no lamp and, if like me, you charge your phone overnight that will be on the other side of the room ! The backdoor is difficult to lock/open from the outside. Nice to see some new garden furniture in the small garden area but unfortunately it wasnât quite the weather to sit out ! The headland was far busier than Iâve ever seen with some mornings 50+ people out and about watching for the rissos dolphins and porpoises. There does seem to have been a substantial price increase for similar weeks next year so Iâm not sure if we will be returning or weâll look for alternative accommodation.

The setting was magical in the best possible way. I had a small difficulty with the deep step as I have some mobility issues but I coped. Previous recent reviews showed problems with damp, which concerned me before I got there but there was no damp that I could find.. Everything worked as it should. Thank you to the owners for a great holiday.
