Guests that stayed at this property said

The property generally appears to be clean, with several guests noting it was spotless upon arrival. However, there are mentions of areas needing attention, such as under sofas and some kitchenware, which suggests room for improvement in thoroughness.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach, local shops, and restaurants. The convenience and ease of access to local attractions have been a consistent positive aspect in the reviews.

Guests find the property comfortable, with special mentions of the beds and spaciousness. Some concerns about mattress quality and seating comfort have been raised, indicating that while the property is generally comfortable, there is potential for enhancement.

The facilities, including the hot tub and kitchen, are appreciated, but several guests have reported maintenance issues such as non-working jets in the hot tub and electrical problems. These issues suggest that while the facilities are good, their upkeep could be better managed.

Unfortunately, there were a number of issues. Firstly, the refrigerator was not functioning correctly, we raised this as soon as we could with Sykes (9am Monday morning) who failed to deal with it that day. We called again the following day and we were given a just about ok replacement about 2/3 way through our week though it was on the other side of the island so made it difficult still to use the kitchen effectively. This whole situation also meant that we lost a couple of hundred £ of food which went bad within 2 days of us arriving and we then had to eat out at a premium, which was not intended. Secondly the cleanliness of the property was not great I’m sorry to say, stained sheets, a mouldy smelling carpet on top floor, black mould on inside windows, dirty & dusty in a lot of places, damp patches all over the place especially in the bedrooms. It was really disappointing considering we paid nearly £4K for the week. The back gate had no lock so was a security hazard for our young child and gate was smashing loudly through the storms on our last couple of nights. The property looks ok at face value but needs updating to warrant the price being charged, you can’t sit on the sofa as the leather is cracked and it hurts your legs, the other sofa is very old and low down and the double chair is like sitting in a rock so difficult to sit on in any comfort. The beds were hard and not great mattresses so a couple of our party got bad back ache, not pleasant. People should be aware that the property is right on a busy T junction and so it can be noisy with the road as well as revellers at the restaurant over the way. Even with ear plugs in, those in the front first floor bedrooms struggled to get to sleep. We were after a peaceful holiday so I think this ought to be clear to people booking as if you have young kids they would struggle. Also parking for 3 cars would be a nightmare so not sure how it’s even possible, 2 at a push maybe. Be great as other have said to arrive to a hot hot tub but it was hot by the second day. On the upside the beach which was lovely is walkable, great park and cafes around and about (though booking is needed) and the hot tub was great even on a rainy day. Sadly wouldn’t choose to stay here again but I hope the owners get the feedback from here so that they can continue to improve experience & warrant what they are charging as our week cost an arm and a leg and just wasn’t up to scratch sadly. Sorry :(

Plenty of room for a large family and location was fantastic about a 3 minute walk to beach and all other amenities. house was fabulous. couple of minor points with loss of water pressure if you used both showers, had the washing machine on or used kitchen taps whilst showering, alot of chipped crockery on arrival. don't let this put you off , location was great facilities fab and really good value for a large party size. would definately go back if ever in the area again.
