Guests say

Farm Cottage in Cemaes Bay is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and prime location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities and the property's proximity to coastal walks and the village. The secure garden is a hit with pet owners and families, and the property's tranquillity adds to a relaxing stay. Some minor suggestions for improvements are noted, but overall, guests are eager to return and recommend the cottage.

The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning its spotless condition and well-maintained appearance. Guests consistently note the clean and inviting atmosphere upon arrival.

The location is frequently highlighted as a positive feature, with its proximity to the beach, coastal paths, and village amenities. The quiet, picturesque setting is also appreciated, although Wi-Fi connectivity is mentioned as being less reliable in some parts of the property.

Comfort is a strong point for the cottage, with guests finding the beds comfy and the underfloor heating a pleasant touch. However, some guests mention that the en suite bathroom is small and the sofas could be more comfortable.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the cottage being described as well-equipped and having everything needed for a 'home from home' holiday. Some guests suggest improvements such as sharper knives, better instructions for heating, and a barbeque.

While some guests mention the lack of a welcome pack or gifts, which could be seen as a thoughtful touch, there is not enough consistent information across the reviews to accurately score this category. It should be noted that while such gestures are appreciated, they are not guaranteed.

About this property

Farm Cottage is a sweet holiday cottage nestled in a quiet location on the edge of picturesque Cemaes Bay on Anglesey. It has direct access to the Anglesey coastal footpath and there’s a beach within walking distance. Inside the cottage, old meets new in a wonderful way! When the roses and flowers are in bloom at the front of the holiday cottage, it’s such a pretty sight. Farm Cottage is all on one floor, making it ideal for those who struggle with steps and stairs.

There are two lounge areas, one within the kitchen and dining space, and the other in a separate room off the two bedroom. The seating area off the bedrooms has two leather sofas around an electric coal effect stove and TV.

The second seating area in the open plan space has leather sofas around a large wall mounted TV with Samsung Crystal Surround Air Track. The kitchen has all you need including an electric cooker, fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, and toaster. An added bonus is the InSinkErator which provides hot, filtered water so you don’t even have to wait for the kettle to boil for your morning cuppa! There’s a large dining which looks out to the garden.

Two bedrooms include one double room with king sized bed and an ensuite shower room. There is also a twin bedroom with two single beds.

The main bathroom has a shower, loo, wash hand basin and underfloor heating.

Head out from the doors in the open-plan living space and you’ll step onto a raised decked area that runs the length of the cottage. Beyond that is a lawn, ideal for outdoor games or for soaking up the sun in the summer. Countryside backs onto the garden, so you can soak up those views, too!

At the front is a paved courtyard area which also has garden furniture so you can sit out. You can also store beach and outdoor gear here. There’s parking for two cars right by the front door with no steps to access the cottage.

Cemaes Bay is a village with a small selection of shops and places to eat and drink including a pub and an award-winning fish & chip shop! Take your pick from the many nearby coastal walks, take some time to spot various wildlife at nearby Cemlyn. Many of Anglesey’s best things to see and do are close by including attractions, walks, cycle routes and beaches. You’ll be spoilt for choice!

Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the beautiful North Anglesey Heritage Coast, the pretty seaside village of Cemaes Bay is home to three pubs, shops, an award-winning chip shop, a cafe and Visitor Centre, a natural sheltered harbour and a sandy beach edged by grassy cliffs, ideal for safe bathing and family fun. Well appointed cottage, perfectly placed for walking the coastal footpath yet near to amenities in Cemaes Bay general shopping and lovely cafes

All worked very well for us, with all necessary provisions catered for - good kitchen facilities, comfortable beds & settees & excellent showers (would have been handy to have somewhere within our en-suite shower to put toiletries - have corner one from IKEA at home that would work well, not a criticism but just a hint, especially for disabled visitors!) We especially liked the empty cupboard provided to store our foodstuffs, as well as the good sized fridge & freezer, along with the large dining table! It all worked well for our family with their varied nutritional needs! Cemaes Bay is so beautiful & the cottage is amazing so Thank You! We hope to be able to visit again in the near future.
