Guests say

Glan Aber is a well-received cottage in Anglesey, praised for its peaceful location, welcoming host, and wildlife-rich garden. Guests enjoyed the proximity to beaches and coastal paths, the comfort of the outdoor seating, and the homely atmosphere. While some noted challenges with space and maintenance, the overall experience was positive, with many looking forward to returning.

The majority of guests found the cottage to be comfortable and clean, though there were some concerns about odours and cobwebs. The presence of a dog and ponies nearby was charming to some but did lead to additional cleanliness considerations.

The cottage's location is highly praised for its tranquillity, proximity to beaches, and opportunities for wildlife watching. It serves as a great base for exploring Anglesey, with many guests appreciating the quiet and rural setting.

Guests generally found the cottage cosy and the beds comfortable. However, some noted the bedroom was cramped and there was a lack of storage space, which affected the comfort level for some visitors.

Facilities were adequate for most guests, with special mentions of the garden and patio area. However, there were several comments about the need for maintenance, particularly in the kitchen and bathroom, and suggestions for upgrades to enhance the guest experience.

The host's thoughtfulness was frequently mentioned, with guests appreciating the warm welcomes and helpfulness. Some guests were delighted by gifts such as eggs and homemade Bara brith, although it is noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

A scattered, rural village situated close to the cliffs of Point Lynas and the little bay of Porth Eilian, on the beautiful north coast of Anglesey. Llaneilian stands amidst lovely countryside, which is perfect for scenic walks and cycle rides, but is perhaps best known for its lighthouse built in 1835, and its small, attractive shingle and sand beach, which is sheltered by cliffs and headland making it perfect for swimming, boating, fishing and other water sports. Just 2 miles west is the old port of Amlwch, the most northerly town in Wales, and Parys Mountain, where visitors can enjoy the Copper Mine Trail Walk amidst the old ruins of what was once the world's largest copper mine in the 18th century. Amlwch's harbour dates back to the Middle Ages and once was a thriving port. There is excellent fishing and golf nearby as well as beautiful sandy beaches and spectacular cliff top walks. Enjoy the medieval town of Beaumaris, with its 13th century moated castle, museums, excellent shops, pubs and restaurants, take a day trip into Snowdonia or visit Dublin from the nearby port of Holyhead.

(Owners dog was a bit over friendly to mine ? & had a habit of sneaking back through the hedge.) Would be happy to go back & book it again.

The cottage was well equipped and functional. Our host was very friendly and helpful. Could not do enough for us.

The bedroom is a bit cramped but that wasn't a problem to us. We were there in February and would love to come again in summer so we could enjoy sitting out on the south facing patio.
