Arkoo is a well-loved cottage praised for its superb location near the beach and village amenities. Guests have enjoyed the comfortable and homely feel, with special mentions of the well-equipped nature and the thoughtful touches provided by the owners. While some guests noted areas for improvement, the majority had a delightful stay and would recommend the property.
Cleanliness received mixed reviews. While some guests found the property spotless and well maintained, others reported dust and a musty smell. The inconsistency leads to a score above average, as more guests were satisfied than dissatisfied.
The location is consistently praised for being close to the beach and village, making it an ideal spot for a holiday. It is highly regarded by almost all reviewers.
Comfort is generally well-received, with guests finding the house comfortable and homely. However, some noted outdated furniture and uncomfortable mattresses, slightly lowering the score.
Facilities are deemed adequate by most, with mentions of a well-stocked house. However, some guests noted the need for modernisation and maintenance issues, which affects the score.
Guests appreciated the thoughtful touches and good communication from the owners, although it should be noted that gifts, such as a bottle of fizz, are a kind gesture and not a guaranteed amenity.

I loved all the lamps and all the touches that were in the house which showed that the owners really thought about how they presented their property. It really made a difference having owners who were instantly available to fix any problems. I appreciated that. I have already booked for next year. Thanks to Fiona and Jonathan.
Clare
Clean and tidy but had some lovely personal touches which made it feel like a much loved home and not a generic property. Owner was very helpful and approachable but we did not have any problems. All went very smoothly. Would love to return.
Carol
The property is very comfortable, well stocked and clean. Brilliant location so close to the beach. Also good communication from Fiona the owner.
